Board Chairman, Nuclear Power Ghana

Emmanuel Appiah-Korang currently serves as the Board Chairman of Nuclear Power Ghana, where he spearheads the strategic direction and ensures effective governance oversight for Ghana’s Nuclear Power Project. He is a seasoned Energy and Management Consultant with over 45 years of experience across both the public and private sectors in Ghana. He has extensive expertise in energy policy, infrastructure development, petroleum sector operations, and strategic management, having contributed significantly to Ghana’s energy sector development over several decades.

In his distinguished professional career, he has served as Minister for Energy from 1982 to 1987, Minister for Works and Housing in 1988, and Chairman of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Infrastructure. He also provided advisory support to Government on energy policy formulation, power sector reform, and petroleum sector deregulation and founded and managed Intertech Services Ltd.

Mr Appiah-Korang has also served on the boards of several prominent organisations, including Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, Ghana Grid Company, Ghana Bauxite Company, and Vanguard Assurance. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
