Franklin Nana Addai is the Head of the Legal Services Department of Bui Power Authority. He is a Corporate Lawyer with relevant experience in Renewable Energy, nuclear law, Construction, Employment, and Commercial law. Mr. Addai, in his academic pursuits, has obtained several qualifications in Political Science, Psychology, Business Administration, Corporate Governance, and Law. With his strong background in board governance, he also serves as the Board Secretary of Nuclear Power Ghana (NPG), an affiliate of the Bui Power Authority.
He has managed the contracting processes of several renewable energy projects, including the 200MW land-based solar project at Bui, the 5MW floating solar project also at Bui, and other ongoing projects. He led the amendment process for the Bui Power Authority Act of 2007 and assisted in the drafting of the Nuclear Power Corporation Ghana Bill. Mr. Addai is a two-time awardee of the Legal 500 General Counsel Power list scheme and the 2025 Top Corporate Legal Leader for Renewable Energy, awarded by the Governance and Business Boardroom. He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and a member of the African Corporate & Governance Counsel Forum.
