Corporate Profile

Ing. Kow Eduakwa Sam is a seasoned Electrical Engineer and strategic leader with over twenty-five (25) years of professional experience spanning Project Development, Contract Management, Protection and Control Engineering, Control and Instrumentation Engineering, and Technical and Energy Auditing.

He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Management Information Systems from the University of Ghana (2004) and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (1998). He has further strengthened his technical and managerial expertise through postgraduate certifications in Project/Investment Appraisal and Risk Management from Duke University (2012) and Power System Analysis from the University of Pennsylvania (2011). He is also a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineers.

Prior to his current role, he served as Head of Project Development at the Engineering Services Department of the Volta River Authority (VRA), where he led multidisciplinary engineering teams in identifying, structuring, and developing bankable conventional and renewable energy projects. Under his leadership, several key projects were developed to enhance Ghana’s power generation capacity, including Lawra Solar PV Project, Kaleo Solar PV Project and Floating Solar PV Project, among others.

He also spearheaded the development of VRA’s Project Life Cycle (PLC) Framework and standardized project templates, providing institutional guidance for project development and implementation. His responsibilities further included reviewing and auditing projects to ensure compliance with the PLC and procurement procedures. Ing. Sam possesses strong strategic leadership and governance experience and continues to contribute to engineering excellence and public sector infrastructure development.
